Holiday Shop at Woodmere Art Museum
We love the idea of handmade gifts for the holidays, but let’s face it, not all of us are crafty by nature. Luckily, Woodmere Art Museum has expanded its usual gift shop into the Holiday Gift Gallery filled with hand-selected wares from local artisans. The store features distinctive jewelry, functional ceramics, beautiful textiles as well as games and toys for kids of all ages. By supporting local artists you’re doing more than just giving your friends awesome gifts and becoming the talk of the town, you’re helping to support Philadelphia’s growing creative economy, all in the name of the holiday spirit.
At a recent day-trip to the Woodmere to see the Folinsbee exhibition, several Canaries were especially drawn to the beautiful displays, and have since added several items to both their gift lists as well as their personal wish lists. So if you were trying to figure out what to get us… this would be the perfect place to start.
