Spooky. Canary's tips for Halloween-themed events in Philly
Spooky. It’s that time of year again and Halloween is fast approaching. Canary is handling media relations for several Halloween-themed events happening in Philadelphia this year. If you are looking for a fun activity to celebrate Halloween this week and next, the Rosenbach Museum & Library’s annual Dracula Festival rages on with a full line-up of programs from Dracula DIY, a free Dracula-inspired crafting workshop for adults where you can things like this chic Vampire Bite Necklace, to the kid approved Halloween Party for Families.
Looking for humor? Sean from Geekadelphia.com went to see BRAT Productions’ Carrie last week and nearly suffered a laughing-related injury. The campy black comedy adaption of Stephen King’s twisted 1974 novel, made famous by Brian De Palma’s movie of the same name, evokes a 70s theme, features quirky design elements, Carrie White in drag (yes, it’s true!) and a laugh-out-loud script by playwright Erik Jackson.
