Website for Everywhere, an online social dance project
Up and coming choreographer Kate Watson-Wallace came to us to build a site for her experimental social dance project and contest, the Everywhere Project. People from everywhere in the world can enter the dance contest by posting videos to Vimeo, which are displayed on this site. Then they can get more and more involved by sending instructions to Kate's dancers, which they're using as they construct their next large-scale piece.
Kate Watson-Wallace creates site-based performances that re-imagine everyday spaces - a contorted female solo in a bedroom closet, a combative duet in the back seat of a Chevy caprice, a woman covered in a repeating pattern of video graffiti. Her work choreographs spectator as well as performer, taking audiences on intimate, human-scale journeys through a row house, a parking lot, a dance club. Audiences meet the human body up close.
